3D Animation

3D Animation

Computer generated 3-D animation of events that occurred during an accident, fire or crime, are being widely used to demonstrate to jurors what the expert determined actually happened. A 3-D visualization presents technical and complex information to a jury in a clear way, enabling them all to "see" the facts of the case as the attorney does. By using visual communication to impart your case facts, you ensure the creation of a Single Visual Perception and ultimately, Turn Jurors Into Witnesses.

Traditionally, 3D animation was used solely to illustrate what had already been determined by the expert. Recently, the growth in measurement technology, particularly the new high-speed Laser Scanners, has greatly increased the accuracy and realism available to the forensic animator. Combining this accuracy with laser-assisted photogrammetry is enabling experts, working closely with forensic animators, to accurately reconstruct events that would have been impossible or financially prohibitive, a few years ago. This high level of accuracy also greatly increases the probability of the animation being admitted into court as evidence.

Combining 3D animation with these Engineering tools has led to a new breed of computer animation where the 3D model is used by the expert to determine what happened in addition to illustrating it for the jury. At PSI we call these animations FORENSIC Animations. Learn more about 3D Working Model & Forensic Animation by clicking the link below. See PSI animations

Client Comments

When we decided to get PSI involved in producing an annimation we had no idea they'd have the impact they would. We were amazed.

"PSI's analyses resulted in a visualization so powerful, and so precise, that I could have obtained a defense verdict with it alone".
