Fire and Explosion
PSI is leading the way with forensic documentation and animations of fires and explosions. 3D laser scanning is assisting government authorities, insurance companies, public and private investigators in securing the scene in a way never thought possible. Scanner locations or carefully selected for maximum coverage in constructing a visually and spatially accurate “Virtual Scene” All evidence with in the line of site is captured by millions of measurements within ¼” accuracy and include a 360 degree 3d photo essay overlay. All stakeholders may visit, tour and extract measurements from the scene on-line. Detailed small sites and enormous debris fields are easily recorded for future analysis and development. Additional deliverables include fire, smoke and explosion animations, CAD compatible data for fire and smoke modeling. Terrain maps for wild-land slope/aspect and fire propagation studies. Fire and explosion work remains an ever increasing area of work for PSI.
